Stellaris base game4/6/2024 ![]() There seems to be some diamond ring things that my starbases scoop up. They don't seem to matter in any way that is significant. I don't even check them when interacting with an AI empire. Internal politics is incredibly peaceful. So Democracies vote and Monarchies have succession, so what? Is that the best PDX can do? Unhappy factions just get generically mad. Nothing feels different about the types of governments in any way that is interesting. I bet there is some kind of interesting strategy with the different types of weapons but it's impossible to see because all I see is a swirling mass of ships then eventually a result. War is essentially the repeated mashing together of fleets. Combat is essentially mashing together fleets. PDX has essentially admitted how boring the unique random planetary features are as I don't even get a notification popup telling me when I've found a planet with a unique feature. What's the difference between a size 15 and size 25 planet? I don't know and it doesn't seem to matter enough for me to care. There's really not anything interesting to do. I'm basically just waiting for the crisis, the only truly interesting part of Stellaris. I find Stellaris mostly enjoyable but something always feels off in each game I play and I've realized that I think Stellaris is just a really bland game. ![]()
